Effects of Demographic and Weather Parameters on COVID-19 Basic Reproduction Number

چکیده
Timely prediction of the COVID-19 progression is not possible without a comprehensive understanding environmental factors that may affect infection transmissibility. Studies addressing parameters influence relied on either total numbers detected cases and similar proxies and/or small number analyzed factors, including analysis regions display narrow range these parameters. We here apply novel approach, exploiting widespread growth regimes in case counts. By applying nonlinear dynamics methods to exponential regime, we extract basic reproductive R0 (i.e., measure inherent biological transmissibility), completely naive population absence social distancing, for 118 different countries. then use bioinformatics systematically collect data large demographics weather from countries, seek their correlations with rate spread. In addition some already reported tendencies, show both results those help settle existing disputes: dependence wind speed air pressure, negative correlation precipitation; significant positive society development level (human index) irrespective testing policies, percent urban population, but an density per se. find strong transmissibility alcohol consumption, refugee numbers, contrary beliefs. Significant tendencies health-related are reported, detailed blood type group showing consistent Rh factor, cholesterol levels.

Evaluation of the epidemiological pattern of COVID-19 applying basic reproduction number: An educational review article
After the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China, and its spread to other countries, confrontation with it as an international emergency in all countries was seriously on the agenda of governments. Our country was not immune to this outbreak. Effective measures to combat this new virus would be certainly based on a proper understanding of the epidemiological pattern and its evaluation i...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effects of COVID-19 Prevalence on Demographic Variables and Its Relationship With Social Participation
Background and Objective: Because COVID-19 has become a pandemic, public health measures to cut off human-to-human transmission may include quarantine and social isolation. This study aims to demonstrate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on demographic variables and their relationship to the level of social participation during the pandemic. Methods: In June 2020, the community integration ...
متن کاملFurther Notes on the Basic Reproduction Number
The basic reproduction number, R0 is a measure of the potential for disease spread in a population. Mathematically, R0 is a threshold for stability of a disease-free equilibrium and is related to the peak and final size of an epidemic. The purpose of these notes is to give a precise definition and algorithm for obtaining R0 for a general compartmental ordinary differential equation model of dis...

15 صفحه اولDengue disease, basic reproduction number and control
Dengue is one of the major international public health concerns. Although progress is underway, developing a vaccine against the disease is challenging. Thus, the main approach to fight the disease is vector control. A model for the transmission of Dengue disease is presented. It consists of eight mutually exclusive compartments representing the human and vector dynamics. It also includes a con...
